Looking To Get An Apprenticeship Things To Keep In Mind There are a lot of different things that employers look for when it comes to a new apprentice but here are a few things to keep in mind to put yourself in a good position to have your application read.
1- Assume they are busy, make sure your resume is clear and concise looking for a first year apprentice employers aren't expecting you to have a vast resume so keep it simple and stick to relevant information and a few references
2- Don't have your parents reach out, as an employer if I have a parent contact me on behalf of their kids it make me assume they either cant be bothered applying themselves or aren't able to organise themselves enough to get in touch.
3- If they have asked you to apply a specific way do it, when I'm looking for a new apprentice I always apply via email with something like "resume" in the subject line this does 2 things it cuts down the people that cant follow instructions and it also means I can find the applications in the future by searching them in my emails
